Double Homicide Cases Spark Outrage and Police Investigation in Mpumalanga

Following the discovery of two female bodies in separate locations, the police in Mpumalanga have launched investigations into two murder cases. The incidents have sparked outrage on social media and raised concerns among the public, leading to the demand for swift action.

The first body, identified as 37-year-old Patience Mokoena, was found in the Sand River at KaMajika near Hazyview. The second body, discovered near a residence, has been reported as Nelisiwe Shiba.

Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the provincial police spokesperson, made a plea to the public to cooperate with the ongoing investigations. He revealed that initial inquiries indicated signs of foul play, prompting the change from an inquest case to a murder case. The police at Masoyi are currently handling the investigation, but no arrests have been made thus far.
